THE Patricia is a flat bottomed vessel, very light and very fast when powered by a KAKO No. 2 or similar motor. The big point with this boat is the fact that she will carry a good sized load of batteries or radio gear.
To commence construction lay the crutch first; this is made from 1/4 in. square balsa as can be seen from the plan. Chamfer Cl as shown, lay the cross pieces, then cement the long strips to them and pin down to dry. While the crutch is drying fit the bulkheads, making sure that B1 and the transom are chamfered and set at the correct angle. When the bulkheads have been pinned to the crutch, cement the under crutch of On. square balsa to the bulkheads; hold in place with pins until set.
