THE YP class wooden hull patrol boat was produced by Wheeler Shipyards as an answer to Nazi submarine attacks on shipping along the Atlantic coast of the U. S. in the early days of  World War IL Our model is built to a scale of 1/4 in. to 1 ft. with some small changes to simplify construction. And to make it a dynamic ship, a real forward firing gun and dummy depth charges that operate by delayed action have been included.

   Balsa construction means lower cost and building time­s. Installation is shown for small electric 6‑volt motors or A class gas motors. The very light weight‑15 oz. complete with electric motor‑insures good performance.

Plans call for timer to activate gun and depth charges
