Recently a number of designs have emerge" of ultralight powered aircraft
which look like airplanes. Examples are displayed at almost every air show. This is one of the more charming, I think, of the low-powered, single-place designs of the generation. It is planned for a home-built project using wood strips and styrofoam sheets with rag covering and fifteen to twenty horsepower. Since it's an ultralight, I attempted to keep the peanut scale model that way for indoor flying, and the drawing reflects that philosophy. If you'd like to take a crack at it for outdoor use, you will probably want to beef up the wood sizes specified a bit. Just don't overdo and you'll have a creditable flying model
