   In designing this model, we wanted it to have every­thing that we desired without compromising ourselves back into the same pattern that had dissatisfied us before. The ship would have to fly smoothly, slowly and be able to turn on a dime if we wanted it to. We think we have achieved that end and feel Ruby will satisfy any modeller who has experienced a model that does one thing good and the next thing bad.

   We experimented with many models before we decided' on the design which led to the model you see here. 'This has not been a one night project with us. Even in con­structing the model, we were in no rush. Everything was put together slowly and carefully. Feature after feature was checked to make sure that it would add to the per­formance of the model. In spite of the critical approach to this design, the model is simple to build and should present no problems to the average model builder
