Where possible, only straight lines are used, the only curve being the plan view of the deck and hull bottom. Eight pieces of wood (including skinning) form the basic hull, and the superstructure is as simple, yet the appearance is quite attractive and performance entirely satisfactory. Cost to build must vary, depending on what you can buy at the local timber yard, Power — well, from 1 1/2 to 3 1/2 c.c. (we accept no responsibility for over 3 1/2 c.c. performance, though it might be quite good !) or any of the bigger electric motors; probably 8-9 lb. of equipment is a reasonable limit. The prototype, with a 31/2 c.c. Sea Otter and 4 channel Graupner Grundig radio and no attempt to save weight, was 8 lb. all up.
